Not many know that at the other end of the famous Tanjung Aru Beach, there is Tanjung Dumpil Beach.
Tanjung Dumpil located at the Putatan district can be access via Petagas along Kampung Contoh and Taman Pasir Putih from Putatan where houses was built along the Petagas river mouth until the airport extension had one side of the river to be vacant.
Tanjung Dumpil presented a new fresh view of world famous sun set of Kota Kinabalu City which was one of the eight great places to watch sun set in Huffington Post.

Nothing much more solitude for a moment to experience a beach with no tourist interest other than the locals who enjoying the beach without being reminded that we are actually in the middle of the city.
The only reminder of being in the city is the constant scheduled airplane landing on the Kota Kinabalu International Airport which brought millions of tourist visit in a year in mainly from China and Europe.
Groups of youngster and locals come to this place to because unlike Tanjung Aru beach, this place is still unknown or earmarked for any development but it is for sure there will be someone who will certainly figure it out in near future.
